Starting next week, you will notice several changes to our programming schedule. These updates are listed below.
Monday-Friday:
Monday
Today marks the beginning of our Spring Support Week. This is the time we set aside to showcase some of our best programming that will help inspire and equip you to faithfully pursue your unique calling from God. It’s also the time when we invite you to partner with us in ours.
This week’s special lineup of primetime programming features believers who have diligently followed the Lord’s leading in a wide variety of fields—from missions to academia to apologetics. The common thread in these inspiring stories is Christians passionately pursuing the callings that God has given them.
I encourage you to tune in tonight through Thursday night (8 pm Eastern and 9 pm Pacific). As you watch, I hope you will consider partnering with us to enable us to continue doing what we do best. A financial gift of any amount to NRBTV will help us produce, license, and promote more of the biblically-faithful and God-honoring programming you have come to expect.
You can donate online, via our free mobile app, or by phone at 1-800-895-6722.
May God bless you for your generosity and faithfulness.

Technology and innovation continue to play an important role in enabling Christianity to reach a world-wide audience. Because of the efforts of many great forerunners, the Gospel has been shared with numerous people who wouldn’t have otherwise heard the message. Additionally, they have significantly influenced television ministry. Because of these strides, you and I are able to view Christian programming any time of the day from the comfort of our own homes.
One of the pioneers of technology was Rev. Billy Graham. He was committed to proclaiming the Gospel by every means possible. He embraced the power and reach of television early into evangelistic ministry.
While radio, books, and films were important to expanding his ministry, by far the most significant platform was television. The following quote from Graham gives you a glimpse into his feelings on using television for evangelism: “Most preachers and teachers would say, I think, that talking to a live audience stimulates the speaker. It still astonishes me, however, to realize that I can be all alone in front of a radio microphone or a television camera and still reach more people than I ever could in a lifetime of personal appearances.”
Around 1957, Billy Graham started World Wide Pictures as a complement to his Billy Graham Crusade organization. The Billy Graham Crusades reached millions of people through television. Beginning in 1989, a series of Crusades via satellite extended his preaching to live audiences in more than 185 countries and territories. From remote tribal villages to major world capitals, Graham always sought to fulfill Christ’s final command to His disciples: “He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation’” (Mark 16:15).
Another innovator that made a significant impact was R.C. Sproul. Early in his ministry, Sproul launched a tape ministry. His audio teaching tapes formed a vast library that spread rapidly around the United States. This exposure opened doors for Sproul to speak at churches and conferences around the country.
In 1974, he began videotaping his lecture series. These recordings enabled him to reach hundreds each week through churches, schools, and Bible studies throughout the U.S. His ministry placed a great emphasis on continuing to expand the audio and videotape ministries. Today, Ligonier Ministries has grown substantially and continues to spread the Word through audio CDs, video DVDs, the internet, television, and other platforms.
I am thankful for the efforts of both of these men and countless others who have made an impact on our ministry. Without their innovations and adaptation of the technologies of their day, how many might not have heard the truth? How many might not have grown in their walk? Only God truly knows how many lives have been influenced by these faithful men.

This morning the world received sad news of the passing of world-renowned evangelist Billy Graham. During his ministry, he shared the Gospel with more people in live audiences than anyone else in history–nearly 215 million people in more than 185 countries and territories, according to Graham’s ministry, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA). Additionally, hundreds of millions more have been reached through television, video, film, and webcasts.
"My one purpose in life," he said, "is to help people find a personal relationship with God, which I believe comes through knowing Christ."
Throughout his life, his primary focus was to spread the message of Jesus Christ to the world. For decades he held numerous preaching Crusades in stadiums and sports arenas across the world.
While I never had the opportunity to meet him personally, I have admired his faithfulness and obedience. His ministry has opened many doors to spreading the gospel. We are so thankful for our partnership with Billy Graham ministries over the years.
The NRBTV team sends our deepest condolences to the Graham family. He will be greatly missed, but we are certain heaven is rejoicing today for his homecoming.

The Christmas season in such a wonderful time of the year, surrounded with family traditions and warm memories. It also a busy season filled putting up Christmas decorations, sending out Christmas cards, buying gifts, and planning family gatherings. It is easy to get swept up by all the things we feel that have to be done. Oftentimes, we miss out on truly celebrating the reason for the season.
This year, I encourage you to begin traditions with your family to help you draw closer to the One who is the reason that we celebrate. He is the greatest celebration of all. Here are a few ideas that you may incorporate into your family traditions.
These are just a few things that you can keep and incorporate into your family traditions. Your family can also create your own traditions that will add to our children’s experience of Christmas as the day of Christ’s birth.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.” Isaiah 9:6-7
I hope you and your family have a blessed Christmas.

As I was sitting in standstill traffic this morning, I noticed the most beautiful rainbow shining through the dark gray clouds. All of my frustration from the heavy traffic and continuous rainfall subsided. Instantly, I was reminded of God’s faithfulness.
God used the rainbow as a promise to Noah in Genesis 9: 12-3, “…This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations: I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.” The rainbow covenant is just one of the many promises that God makes.
While people can let us down, God always remains true to His word. He did not promise we will never experience storms, but He has promised He will be with us during them. You can put your hope in His promises.
Remember the next time you see a rainbow that God will keep His promises to you regardless of your hardship, trials, and circumstances.

As you begin to prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving with your family and friends, take time to remember what God has done for you. Join me this year in taking a few moments to recognize God’s favor and grace on our lives.
As I reflect on how much God loves and cares for me, I more clearly see how God provides for my needs and my well-being. Oftentimes we overlook everyday blessings. We are so accustomed to having God provide for us that we often take provisions for granted. We forget to say thank you.
This Thanksgiving, let’s celebrate the day by reflecting how wonderful God is and thanking him for all the blessings in our lives.
“Praise the Lord! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!” Psalm 106:1
I hope you have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving!

I hope you enjoyed the special primetime programming last week. These programs were selected for our Support week because they perfectly demonstrate our mission to challenge viewers to “think deeply” and “live differently.”
Five-hundred years ago this month, Martin Luther nailed his Ninety-Five Theses to the door of the castle church in Wittenberg, Germany. The Ninety-Five Theses were his manifesto, his declaration of the genuine gospel in the face of a culture that had lost sight of truth.
In a way, we're doing the same thing here at NRBTV. Every day we proclaim gospel truth to a culture that has forgotten who Jesus is, what the Bible says, and who we are before God.
I am so thankful to everyone who contributed during Support Week. Your generosity allows us to produce, license, and promote new Christ-centered programming. If you missed the opportunity to give, it’s not too late. Your contribution—even a small amount—makes a big difference and will be put to work immediately to produce and broadcast thoughtful, biblically-faithful programming. To make your contribution now, call us at 800-895-6722 or click here.
I am so thankful for our viewers. Your generous support is changing hearts and minds through the powerful Gospel programming on television and the internet. May God bless you for your generosity and faithfulness.

On Sunday morning, our community was shaken when a masked gunman entered Burnette Chapel Church of Christ leaving one woman dead and six other people injured.
While church should be a place of safety, a place of refuge, and a place where hope is restored. This was not the case for this congregation.
It is so heartbreaking to see such violence in a place of worship. The NRBTV team is greatly saddened by this senseless act of violence and send our sympathies and prayers to the church members and their families. We are praying for peace, healing, and comfort for our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
I hope you will join us in praying for this church congregation and community.

Over the past few days, we have all see the devastation that Hurricane Harvey has left on numerous communities and cities in South Texas and Louisiana. Torrential rain in these areas has led to unprecedented flooding that has displaced countless people and destroyed numerous homes.
You may be wondering how you can help.
First, I encourage you to pray. Please pray for those who have been impacted and those who are in the path of Hurricane Harvey. Lives have been completely changed. Pray for these individuals as they begin rebuilding their lives.
Pray for the spread of the gospel. Pray that Christians affected by the hurricane will grow in their reliance on Christ. Pray that God will give Christian disaster relief workers the right words and opportunities to share the gospel with people.
Second, there are numerous organizations that are providing aid to the region. Consider making a financial donation to reputable, well-established relief agency. These teams are on the ground and are working to help those affected by the devastating damage. Every little bit will help these people rebuild their lives.
In the coming weeks, the impacted areas will be able to better identify the support they need. Then, they may request donated goods and volunteers to assist in cleanup and rebuilding. Be prayerfully open to these opportunities as they arise.
The NRBTV team is truly heartbroken to see such devastation. Please know that we are praying for those who have been affected by this devastating storm. We pray that God’s healing presence give them peace and hope in their time of need.
God has reminded me that this world isn’t perfect. We were never promised we wouldn’t experience natural disasters, hardships, and recessions. But God promises to be with us always. He is in control and wants us to rely on Him for every need.
“Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.” Psalm 62:8
