On the 60th anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz, the United Nations General Assembly resolved to designate January 27 as The International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust.

In partnership with the Christian Friends of Yad Vashem, which promotes awareness about the Holocaust and its universal lessons in Christian communities, NRBTV will air a special broadcast of the official state ceremony for Yom HaShoah, the Day of Remembrance in Jerusalem, on Sunday, January 24, 2016, at 11p ET/8p PT.

Featured will be compelling stories of survival from those who lived through this horrific period of history. Also included are special songs and poetic readings presented by Israel’s leading citizens during the heartfelt ceremony that has rarely been seen outside of Israel.

The program, titled A Nation Remembers, is edited for a standard one hour U.S. non-commercial broadcast and it has been formatted for American television. The program is open captioned in English and Spanish.

A companion website, www.anationrembers.org, supports the broadcast with addition content.

NRBTV can be seen on DIRECTV Ch. 378 or select local affiliates. Live video streaming is available at www.nrbtv.org, via Roku or Fire TV players, or using our free mobile app for iPhone, iPad, Android, or Windows Phone.
